Jon Øivind Ness: The Shoots (concerto for percussion & orchestra)

The Norwegian composer Jon Øivind Ness has always been inspired by pop-music. And he has for a long time been fascinated by the idea to merge his pop references and his modern musical language, just to see what happens! Jon Øivind Ness wrote The Shoots to HKKS in 2015 and was premiered by him and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra with chief conductor Christian Vasquez.
